Steve Williams is the Regional Vice President for Continental Europeand the Senior Director for Europe,Eurasia and Israel, Lockheed Martin Corporate International Business Development. He is responsible for supporting international business development in 54 European and Eurasian countries.
Prior to coming to Lockheed Martin, he was the president of a regional security and telecommunications company, leading business partnerships in four states and Japan. He was a U.S. Army Foreign Area Officer and Combat Arms Officer for over twenty years. He served as a Policy Advisor and Operational Planner in the Office of the Secretary of Defense and the Joint Chiefs of Staff, where he negotiated basing agreements with Portugal, Spain, and Greece and led policy planning for Operation Northern Watch (Northern Iraq).
He has served for seven years as the President of the German American Business Council. He is a board member of Fraunhofer USA, the Executive Council on Diplomacy, British American Business Association, Hellenic American Heritage Council, and Norwegian American Chamber of Commerce.
His international experience includes travel to over sixty countries, study abroad, serving in a US Embassy and with the US European Command, and commendation for actions taken under hostile fire.
He is a graduate of West Point, has a Masters in International Economics from Johns Hopkins University, and attended the US Army and USMC Staff Colleges, and Greek War College. He and his wife Lori have two daughters attending universities in Virginia.
